It is with great sadness that the family of Janice Carol Roberge announces her passing after some complicated health issues, on July 21st at Lahey Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Janice was born in her family home in York, ME on January 6th, 1946. She was the middle child to the late Wolfret and Eleanor (Pratt) Eldredge. She attended York schools and graduated in 1964.
In 1965 she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Michael Francis Roberge, who have been happily married for 58 years.
She is survived by her husband Michael Roberge and 2 children: son, Michael Roberge and his wife Heather Roberge and their children Logan, Brook, and Connor Roberge. Her daughter, Rebecca Bridges and her husband Michael Bridges and their children Taylor, Mason and Sydney Bridges; a brother Scott Eldredge; a sister Judy McKenna and her husband David; two sisters-in-law Claire Nadeau and Paula Vaillancourt and her husband Dana; many nieces and nephews.
Janice and Mike lived for their winter retreats to Hawaii, meeting up with multiple friends, long drives around the island, beach visits and eating out. They also enjoyed many visits to camp at Square pond and the casinos in Las Vegas. Janice was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a wonderful nana and a beloved friend to all that knew her. She will be forever loved and missed.
A graveside service to honor Janice’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 31st at 1pm in the First Parish Cemetery, 180 York Street, York, Maine. A celebration of life will be held directly after the graveside service in Moody Hall at First Parish Church.
In Honor of Janice please dress casual and wear Hawaiian themed clothes. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association.
