John "Jack" G. MacLean

York Beach, Maine- John G. MacLean, “Jack” 86 , of 7 Barn Point, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

He was born October 28, 1936 in Lowell, MA a son of the late Archibald T. and Margaret B. (Shea) MacLean.

Jack served in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Lowell Technical School.

He founded and was one of the original owners of HiTec Corp, Westford, MA.

He enjoyed fishing and lobstering off the coast of Maine for more than 35 years. 

He leaves his wife of 61 yrs, Mary A. MacLean; 2 brothers Thomas and Norman, a sister Mary Gail Lynch and a brother in law/God son Vincent Mclean. 

He also leaves many nieces and nephews, along with their children who loved their “Uncle Jack.”

A funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, October 18th in St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine. 

Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Wildlife, Cape Neddick, Me.
