Joyce (Estabrook) Bowness

Joyce Elaine (Estabrook) Bowness, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away on October 18, 2024 at the age of 85.

Joyce is survived by her five children, William Bowness; Lynda Page; Donna Gorman and her husband Stephen; Sharon Furtado; Darlene Cronin. She is also survived by loving siblings Genie Guest and Stanley Estabrook. Joyce was predeceased by her brothers Roy and Gordon Estabrook. Joyce was the proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

 She leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews. As well as many cousins and dear friends. 

Born and raised in Quincy, MA to parents Gordon and Nettie Estabrook, she spent her later years in the town she cherished, York, Maine.

Joyce worked for many years as a home health aid in Quincy, MA and in York, ME.

Joyce was a strong, independent woman who touched many peoples lives and will be remembered for her humor and sharp wit. 

Services will be private.
