Judith A. Deabler Obituary

Judith ‘Judy’ Deabler, 80, transitioned to the light and the Lord on Monday, March 29, 2021 in York, Maine.  She was born in Norway, Maine on December 8, 1940 to parents Helge and Elvi Broderson.  She grew up in Norway, Maine and graduated from Norway High School in 1959.   She married Phillip Waterhouse and created two beautiful daughters who she loved dearly.  She lived in the Oxford Hills area and later in Lewiston-Auburn and finally settled in her later years to be closer to family in York.

She was a very loving caregiver to her mother for many years.   After her mother passed, she directed her caregiving skills into working for the hospice team at Androscoggin Home Health in Lewiston, Maine. She enjoyed the time she spent taking care of her patients and they enjoyed her loving, heart centered personality.   She had a beautiful sense of humor that she shared openly with everyone in her life.   We imagine that she is still laughing and joking with all her family, friends and patients that preceded her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother H. Richard Broderson and her husband Dennis Deabler Sr.  Her surviving family includes daughter Christine Huggins (spouse Del Huggins) of Virginia Beach, Virginia and daughter Sharon Miles (spouse Tim Miles) of North Berwick, Maine; granddaughter Jenni Olson of Lebanon, Maine; grandson Jamie Olson (spouse Julie Olson) of Lebanon, Maine; four great-grandsons Jack Drobish, Trevor Curtis, Ole and Sonny Olson; and special niece Debora Broderson of Gardner, Maine.

Special thanks to Berwick Estates for treating her as family over the past five years.  Thanks also to York Hospital for the great care they provided over the years. Grateful to all her many caregivers - it felt like the circle of life that she was cared for in the same manner that she cared for others.
