Kenneth M. Tourigny

YORK ME- Kenneth M Tourigny, 61, passed away unexpected on Sunday, May 23, 2021 on a visit to Florida at Treasure Coast Hospice, Fort Pierce, FL. He was born and raised in Lawrence MA on January 4, 1960 he was 1 of 7 children the dear son of the Late George E. Tourigny and Rita M. Tourigny. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and Central Catholic High School Lawrence MA class of 1977.

Ken was a New England Union Carpenter. He loved building and teaching others the trade including how to work together to perfection. Ken was the man everyone went to for guidance and inspirational insight on how to go above and beyond on their projects. He gave the highest level of support to anyone that asked when dealing with construction and simply being a person to look up to.

In 1982, Ken married Kim Cormier of Andover, MA. Just celebrated their 39th Wedding Anniversary. In 1989 the family moved to York, ME with their 2 children, where Ken built their home to raise their children.

His hobbies were building train layouts. Playing classic rock on the electric bass guitar. Doing Big Jig Saw puzzles, then framing to put on the walls of the home. Ken enjoyed Movies and designed rooms throughout the house with great surround sound system to watch, feel and live the movie at HOME.

Ken enjoyed family vacations. His favorites were going to Disney World. He was taken there by his parents when it first opened as a kid and he continued going once he became an adult. He passed this love of Disney to his wife and children who will continue to go in his honor.

Ken was a loving father, husband, brother, brother in-law and Uncle and will be deeply missed.

Ken is survived by his 2 children, Kourtney and Kenny Tourigny. His wife Kim Tourigny. His 4 Brothers: Edmond Tourigny & wife Leslie of Alexandria VA, Donald Tourigny Lawrence MA, Arthur Tourigny & wife Kerri of York ME, Robert Tourigny & wife Pam Alton NH. His 2 sisters: Elizabeth Thomas & husband Douglas Londonderry NH, Jane Castaldo & husband George Hudson MA. His Brother in-laws: Scott Cormier& his wife Sam Windham NH, Christopher Cormier Boston MA, and Predeceased Warren Cormier Jr. &his wife still here Sharon Wilmington MA. His Sister in-laws: Cathy Downs Wilmington MA, Lori Penney & husband Tim Wilmington, MA
