York, Maine-Kevin Leahy, 76, of Chestnut Lane, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at home with his family by his side. He was born November 30, 1947 in Somerville, MA , the son of the late Patrick and Mary J. (Murphy) Leahy.
He leaves his beloved wife, Linda M. (Walsh) Leahy; his son Sean of San Francisco, CA and daughter Nancy Stanton and her husband Peter of Cheshire, CT and his cherished grandchildren Jack, Kevin and Caroline Stanton, who brought endless joy to his life.
Kevin grew up the son of Irish immigrants and was one of four brothers. He was predeceased by his brothers Donny and Jack and leaves behind his friend and brother Frank and his wife Toni. Kevin was also predeceased by several nieces and nephews and leaves behind many more.
Kevin was also lucky to have another family that he was a central part of in the Walshes. He was predeceased by his beloved in laws Bob and Marie and his incredible brother in law Bobby. He was loved by and had so much love for his sisters and brothers in law and nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.
Kevin was predeceased by his closest friend, Mark Conway, earlier this year. We know the reunion between them was surely epic.
Kevin had a long and successful career in the high tech industry. After retirement he and Linda enjoyed many happy years in York, enjoying friends and many, many rounds of golf at York Golf and Tennis Club.
Kevin's family would like to extend sincere thanks for the incredible care he received at the cancer center and infusion center at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Their care and compassion will never be forgotten.
A period of visitation will be held from 11am to 12:30pm on Friday, October 4th in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine with a funeral home service to be held at 12:30pm.
