Lee B. Chick, a lifelong resident of York, Maine, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026.
Born in York on February 26, 1937 to Karl and Doris (Moulton) Chick, he grew up in the town he loved. He graduated from York High School before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army. He returned to York with the love of his life, Carolyn (Paige) Chick, where they raised a family and enjoyed the journey together for 63 years before her passing in 2020.
He worked for the Ron-Bet Company where his talents were quickly realized and he became the proud owner of the business for over 37 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying lobstering, hunting, fishing, hiking and snowmobiling. He taught his children and grandchildren a love of the outdoors as well.
Lee was most happy, and a familiar face, at camp on Moosehead Lake. Camp is where his talents for the outdoors really shined. His hard-work, and construction skills created a four season camp that is still enjoyed by friends and family to this day.
He is survived by his three children; Cheryll (Chick) Lewis, of Cape Neddick, ME, Norman Chick and Andrew Chick, both of Eliot, ME. He was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sadly he will be missed, fondly he will be remembered.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 25th from 5pm-7pm in Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd, York, ME. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 26th at 1pm in First Parish Cemetery, 180 York St., York, ME. For online condolences please visit www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com.
