Lorraine I. (Mignault) Fournier

Lorraine I. Fournier, 80, of Cape Neddick, ME passed away on Sunday, June 18th 2023 in York Hospital. She was cared for at Avita of Wells for the past year. She had lived in Cape Neddick for almost 20 years, previously living in Andover, MA for 40 years. Lorraine was born in Lawrence, MA on July 21, 1942 daughter of  the late Anita ( Daigle) Mignault and Gerard Mignault.

She was a dedicated employee of the IRS until her retirement. She enjoyed the beach, cooking, teaching Sunday school and spending time with her beloved family. She became an accomplished watercolor artist and loved to make color come alive. Most of all, her great faith in God guided every aspect of her life. Just days before she died she told her caregivers,”I love the Lord and He is my Savior!” with great joy. She enjoyed reading her Bible and praying and telling others about God’s great love for them.

She was predeceased by her husband Jean R. Fournier of 40 years; She is survived by her daughter Judith L. Fournier and her husband Joshua Cole of Cape Neddick, ME; a brother Richard Mignault and his wife Donna Mignault of Windham, NH; a grandson Timothy Cole; several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

A funeral service will be at 11am on Friday, June 23rd in the York Street Baptist Church, 61 York Street, York, ME with a light luncheon to follow. Interment will be held at 2pm in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover, MA.
