Mabel I. (Eckenrode) Glowacki

Mabel Irene "Renie" (Eckenrode) Glowacki 

Renie Glowacki of Cape Neddick, Maine, passed from this life at the age of 78 on
Friday August 5, 2022, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, after a battle with
cancer.

She was born June 8, 1944 daughter of the late Daniel and  Mabel (Willard) Eckenrode in Frederick,
Maryland. Renie graduated from Kent County High School, Chestertown, MD and
then enrolled in The United States Navy where she proudly served as a Hospital
Corpsman for 2 years.

After the Navy, Renie pursued her degree in Nursing and
went on to work in hospitals in Exeter, NH and York, Maine. She loved to learn and
was always taking classes and studying even completing a course in medical
helicopter flight service and becoming a nurse manager.

Proceeded in death by parents Daniel and Mabel Eckenrode, husband of 56 years
David A. Glowacki, son Patrick Glowacki and grandson Daniel Glowacki. Survived
by son Brian A. Glowacki, grandchildren Jessica Lorbach, Jacob Glowacki and
Grace Glowacki, sisters Barbara Wallace and Ellen (Lee) Merryman, beloved niece
and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at York Hospital and Gosnell Memorial
Hospice House for their loving care of Renie during her last few weeks. Lucas &
Eaton Funeral Home of York, Maine has assisted the family with arrangements for
burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
