Kittery, Maine-Marilyn Ann Goodrich, 75 passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 31, 2018 surrounded by her family and loved ones. Marilyn was born December 29, 1942 in Waltham, Massachusetts. She moved to York Beach in 1949 with her father and mother, Murray and Mary E. (Beagan) McKenney, younger sisters’ Madelyn and MaryEllen, and brother Murray, Jr.
Marilyn met the love of her life, her prince, Albion Wallace Goodrich in 1959. They married in 1960 and had three children Christine, Sean, and Shannon which they raised together in York, Maine. Albion and Marilyn built a wonderful life surrounded by family, friends and community while successfully running the Mic Mac Motel. Her love and commitment to her family was unconditional and her devotion and love to the community and her life-long friends flowed from her heart. She loved her Altrusa Sisters and all the endless selflessness and goodwill they provide to others in need.
Marilyn is survived by her loving family of three children, Christine, Sean and Shannon, her ten grand-children, Brianna, Brittney, Alden, Whitten, Sawyer and Morgan, her great grand-children Sophia, Jacob, Taytum, and Isanabel, her sisters’ Madelyn and MaryEllen, and many loving aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Marilyn’s service will be held Saturday, September 8th at 10:00 am in the First Parish Church, 180 York St., York, Maine. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the YCSA Fuel Assistance, P.O. Box 180 York, Maine 03909.
