Maxine A. Frost Obituary

Cape Neddick, Maine-Maxine Ann Frost, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She was born July 6, 1937 in York, Maine daughter of the late  Ernest L.  and Evelyn E. (Pierce) Perkins of a Ogunquit, Maine.

Devoted wife of 66 years and devoted mother. She was active in her community and was fondly known as the “lunch lady” at Ogunquit Village School. She Served as a Den mother for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts and was a Little League mom and a member of the Ogunquit women’s Fireman’s auxiliary. She was president for many years for the Sanford woman’s bowling league where she developed many lifelong friends.

She was also the right hand woman for the family oil business for 40+ years. Maxine "Max" enjoyed reading, knitting, playing Gin Rummy and Solitaire. She Loved Baking and was famous for her homemade fudge.

In her later years she enjoyed traveling to Moosehead Lake, Nova Scotia, The Grand Ole Opry (twice) and exploring the whole state of Florida, eventually settling in Fort Myers for the winters and Maine in the summer.

She mostly enjoyed time with her family at her summer camp and always went all out for family Christmases.

Survived by her husband Walter A. Frost of Cape Neddick, Maine; children Steve and wife Wendy Frost of Hollis, Maine and Jill Garr of Kennebunk, Maine; three grandsons Matt Garr of Sanford, Maine, Daniel Frost of Standish Maine, Kevin Frost of Gorham, Maine; five great-grandchildren.

The love, time and kindness she has given others will live on forever.
