November 25, 1980 ~ December 26, 2021 (age 41)

Obituary

Nathaniel Jacob Lang, born November 25, 1980, of York, Maine passed away in Gloucester, Massachusetts, on December 26, 2021, at the age of 41.

Nathaniel, “Nate” was born one minute before his brother Nicholas “Nick” Lang in New Hartford, New York. The Lang family relocated to York, Maine in 1981 where they were successful in running Lang’s Motel and the Cat N Nine Tail country store in Cape Neddick.

Nate is predeceased by his mother and father Anton “Larry” and Judith “Judy” Lang, and his nephew Cherokee Lang. He is survived by his twin brother Nicholas Lang, and older siblings, Antoinette “Toni” Hall, her husband Rick, Lawrence Lang, Scott Lang and his wife Dawn. He also leaves behind, his three nephews Kyle Lang, Ryan Morrison, and Hunter Calhoun-Lang as well as his nieces, Ayrie Calhoun-Lang and Felicia Hale.

From the beginning, Nate proved himself to be a force to be reckoned with earning the paired nickname he shared with his brother, Search and Destroy. As toddlers Nick, would search for toys to present to Nate, who would take delight in smashing them apart. Nate later proved himself to be a remarkable fighter after recovering at record speeds from an accident that left him severely burned at the age of fourteen. Nate’s unprecedented recovery later led to research that helped other burn victims survive and heal faster. Nate went on to work in one of the most dangerous industries known as an offshore fisherman, with his brother Lawrence and his nephew Kyle. Despite the dangers and unforgiving conditions, Nate led a successful career in the fishing industry right up to the time of his death.
