Nicholas A. Caramihalis Obituary

York, Maine- Nicholas A. Caramihalis, 29, beloved father, son and brother, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. He was born November 3, 1988 in Sanford, ME a son of Charles A. Caramihalis and Elizabeth A. (Lees) Caramihalis. He graduated from Sanford High School in 2007 with High Honors, and was Captain of the wrestling team. He also graduated from the University of New Hampshire Culinary Arts program, and worked as a chef in Dining Services for the University. He summered in York for many years before moving here 3 years ago. Nick will be remembered for his love of the beach, cooking, his gift for artisan bakery, spending time with family, and most of all for his beautiful heart and gorgeous smile. Besides his parents he leaves a daughter Mackenzie R. Castro-Caramihalis; a sister Lauren A. Caramihalis; a nephew Rowen Jackson; his maternal grandmother Saundra Lees; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A memory event and gathering for family and friends will be held from 4 to 7 pm at Foster's Clambake with prayers at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 11th, 5 Axholme Rd., York, Maine. Nick’s ashes will be committed to the sea where his beloved Nana and other family members were also interred. Memorial contributions may be made to National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
