Noreen M. (Scott) Maurno

Kittery, Maine-Noreen M.Maurno, 83 passed away after her final battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 10, 2021. Noreen was born in New York City January 9, 1938.

It became her destiny to move many times over her lifetime. Noreen lived life to its fullest and had a huge sense of adventure. She always put others needs and feelings ahead of her own. Noreen was a loyal and loving friend to countless people and when you became her friend it was for life.

Every challenge that came her way was met with grace, strength and an indomitable spirit. Noreen was supportive of other cancer patients even when she was battling it herself. Noreen enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Over her lifetime she worked as a model, as a secretary, a real estate broker and eventually as a gift shop owner.

Noreen is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Anthony E. Maurno of Kittery, Maine, her son John Maurno of Portsmouth, NH, Her son, the late Dann Maurno and his wife Sara of Salem, MA, her son Steven and his wife Martha of Suffolk, VA. She is also survived by granddaughters Abigail and Charlotte and many nieces and nephews as well as many close friends.

Donations may be made in her memory to The Seacoast Cancer Center of Dover, NH or Great Pyrenees Rescue of the Northeast. The world was a better place with her in it.
