Kittery, Maine - Paul C. Gustafson, 80, a long time resident of York, Maine passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021 in Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1941 in Wakefield, NH a son of the late A. Conrad and Gertrude L. (Rosell) Gustafson.
He graduated from Concord High School, and Bentley University with an accounting degree. He worked for Honeywell for a short time, and then ran his own successful accounting practice in Kennebunk for 20 years. He was able to sell his business and retire by the age of 50. He then focused on traveling to different art shows with his wife Gloria, and enjoyed visiting lighthouses along the coastlines of America. He loved football, golf, sailing, and spending time with family.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Gloria J. (Overlock) Gustafson; a sister Ann Wasmer and her husband Pedro of Naples, FL; a son Andrew P. Gustafson wife Robin and their daughter Tori of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter Deborah A. Gustafson of Sanford, ME; 2 step-sons Robert L. Gray wife Kathleen of South Berwick, ME and their children Sarah and Caleb; Randall M. Gray his wife Tamara of Derry, NH and their children Lyndzi and Molly; 2 step-daughters Darlene R. Fenn and husband Ted of Santee, CA and their children Brittany and Savanah; Cristine M. Huntress and husband Bruce of Kittery, ME and their children Sydney and Holly; and several wonderful nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, family and friends. Paul is predeceased by his grandson Jonathan Gray.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8pm on Tuesday, October 5th in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, Maine.
A graveside service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, Oct. 6th in the First Parish Cemetery, York, Maine.
Although not a military member himself, Paul held a very high regard for those who serve our country. Memorial contributions may be made to a Veterans Organization, or a charity of one's choice.
