Raymond L. Canfield

York, Maine- Raymond L. Canfield, 87 passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in Sentry Hill.

He was born March 31, 1937 in Portsmouth, NH a son of the late Burton C. and Susie I. (Shattuck) Canfield. 

He was an Air Force Veteran, he had worked as a carpenter for many years and had built his own House and Boat.

He was a long-time member of the York Beach Fire Dept. and was an avid card player.

He will be remembered for his love of carpentry, woodworking, fishing, skiing, hunting and karaoke.

He leaves three daughters and their spouses; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother Burton " Bud" C. Canfield Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

His wife of 37 years Martha (Grover ) Canfield and a sister Leslie Shea predeceased him.
