Renee Rucci Obituary

Cape Neddick, Maine - Renee (Doucette) Rucci, 60 years old, of Circuit Road, beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and acclaimed interior designer, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 5th, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. A woman of extraordinary warmth and talent, Renee had a rare gift for transforming not only spaces, but the lives of those around her—with beauty, grace, and an abundance of love.

Born August 1, 1964 in Malden, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph Doucette and Adriana C. Hirdes. Renee made her mark as a gifted interior designer, turning countless houses into cherished homes. Her impeccable eye for detail, coupled with a deep empathy for her clients’ visions, made her work both personal and unforgettable. Beyond her design talents, Renee had a deep love for cooking, often found in the kitchen creating delicious meals and sweet treats that brought joy and comfort to all who gathered at her table.

Above all else, Renee was devoted to her family. A loving mother and exceptional partner, she and her husband built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering love, raising their children in Atkinson, New Hampshire. In later years, they fulfilled a shared dream of settling in Cape Neddick, where Renee found daily peace and inspiration by the ocean—a place that had always called to her heart.

Renee is survived by her beloved husband, Bill Rucci; her son, Nick Rucci; her daughter, Erika Johnston, and son-in-law, Sean Johnston. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Callum William Johnston and Griffin James Johnston, who brought endless joy to her life.

Renee shared a special bond with her energetic and loyal dog, Bentley, who brought her comfort and happiness and her “grandpuppy” Josie.

Her legacy lives on in her family, who will forever carry the memory of her nurturing spirit, deep generosity, and fierce love. Renee lived with elegance and passion, and her presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the joy of knowing her.
