Sheila M. Ronchi Obituary

South Berwick, ME - Sheila Ronchi, 77 passed away peacefully at Hyder Family Hospice House on April 30,
2024, after a period of declining health.

Sheila was born on Feb 9,1947 in Lee, ME the daughter of the late Richard and Clymena (House) Judkins and
was one of nine children.

After moving from Maine, she lived in the Lakes Region of NH for many years where she raised her 3 children,
Corliss, Dan and Gina. They spent the weekends in York ME before eventually deciding to settle there and
remained in the Seacoast area for the remainder of her life.

Sheila met the love of her life, Peter, at Portsmouth Hospital where they both worked. They were married for
35 beautiful years and created many memories. They were often described as soul mates and were
inseparable. Family was the most important thing to them.

Sheila was a hard worker and held many jobs throughout her life. Her love of children ultimately led her to her
two most cherished positions as a nanny.

Family meant the world to Sheila; she would drop everything to be there for them. She loved being a grammy
and she never missed a milestone or special event. She enjoyed playing cards, charades and board games
with family. Her demeanor was extremely easy-going and there wasn’t much that bothered her (unless you
didn’t take a card game seriously). She had a love for music and dancing.

The beach was her happy place, and she would often be found there in her free time. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, especially with her
grandchildren, sometimes making their Halloween or theatre costumes. A favorite pastime of hers was apple,
strawberry and blueberry picking. Sheila loved Spring flowers, specifically lilacs and magnolias. She would
persuade any visitors to help her dig up dandelion greens, one of her preferred Spring side dishes. Sheila
would often be found cooking her family’s favorites, including spaghetti and meatballs, mac and cheese, beef
stew, apple and rhubarb pie, banana bread and peanut butter fudge (which was eaten by the spoonful while it
was still warm). She always made birthdays and holidays special by making everyone’s favorite cake or
dessert. She would never pass up an opportunity to go out for her favorite, Chinese food.

She is survived by her children Corliss Lancaster (Monica), Dan Lancaster (Jeri), Gina Sorge (Gavin), her
grandchildren Cory (Becky), Briana (Patrick), DJ, Courtney (Trevor) and Allison, her great-granddaughter Mira
and great-granddaughter Stella Rose, due in July. She is also survived by her three sisters Arlene, Louella and
Roberta, sister-in-law Karen and brother Lawrence.

She is predeceased by her parents Richard and Clymena Judkins, husband Pete Ronchi, her grandson Gavin
Sorge Jr and her brothers John, Lloyd, Larry and Darryl Judkins.

Sheila was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister and friend, a fun aunt, a supportive mother and a doting grammy.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
