Suzanne Attaei Obituary

Suzanne (Doucette) Attaei, beloved mother to three children, age 58, of York, Maine, a former longtime resident of Machias, Maine, passed away in the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine on May 11th, 2024.

She was born in Waltham, Massachusetts on October 21st, 1965 to the late Patricia A. (Pendleton) Doucette and the late Thomas P. Doucette. Suzanne attended local school(s) in Waltham, Massachusetts and East Machias, Maine before studying Nursing in Westbrook College, Portland, ME.

Suzanne Attaei was a devoted mother to David, Amanda, and Angelica, her pride and joy. She always said their birth changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.

Suzanne took special joy in watching her kids grow up and had fond memories of camping in the White Mountains with her family every summer.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Doucette, her father, Thomas Doucette, and her ex-husband and father to her children, Mohammad Reza Attaei. Suzanne is survived by her son, David Attaei, and her two daughters, Amanda Attaei and Angelica Attaei who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. She was the sister to Louise A. "Lou Anne" Lorfing, Diane M. Corbett and her husband Mark, Thomas P. Doucette, Jr., Steven M. Doucette and Peter J. Doucette.

No funeral services will be held as it was Suzanne's wish that she spend eternity among the forests of the White Mountains where her ashes will be spread.
