Vincenza Rose (Castellano) Cedrone

Vincenza Rose (Castellano) Cedrone, known to her friends and family as Rose, 99, of York, Maine, passed away on Monday May 8, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1924 in Somerville, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Salvatore and Philippa Castellano and the oldest of six children. 

Rose grew up in Somerville and after graduating from high school she attended Fisher Secretarial School. Thereafter she worked at MIT until marrying her beloved husband Joseph Cedrone. Together they raised two daughters.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Cedrone. Mother of Catherine Chaisson and her husband Donald, and the late Marian Bertone. Mother in law of Paul Bertone.  Cherished "grammy" to four grandchildren.

Sister of Serafina (Sally) Morganelli, Jeanette DiSabatino, William Castellano, and Richard Castellano.

She was predeceased by her brother Michael Castellano.

Also Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We will miss a loving grandmother, caring mother and sister, and a loyal friend to all in her orbit.

Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, May 18th in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York, Maine.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated in St. Cristopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York, Maine on Friday, May 19th at 11am. Please go directly to Church.

Interment will follow at 1:30 pm in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA.
