William Edgar Pike was born January 20, 1940, the son of Stella Sheppard Pike and John Frederic Pike. Bill was a proud third generation native of Kittery Point, Maine, attending Kittery schools and Traip Academy. Upon graduation, he spent four years in service of the United States Coast Guard, followed by many years of selling cars and employment in the Fire Department of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
Bill loved life to the fullest. He hunted upland birds with his German Shorthaired Pointers and cruised the East Coast and the Islands of the Bahamas in his sailboats and so much more.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, his son Geoffrey and wife Renee, and his son Gregory and his wife Holly and his adoring service dog April.
