We are sad to announce that the afterlife got a whole lot sexier on Saturday (6/8/24).
William “Ed” Edward Yaxley was born on 2/8/1976 in Urbana, Illinois to Victoria Tucker and William Yaxley. He came into the world backwards, but he sure mastered forward motion.
He survived living with his siblings Alexsis Swift and Travis Tucker and his dad Tim Tucker, until he came to endure living with his wife Patricia Yaxley and daughter Izabel until 6/8/24. His nieces and nephews Zoey Tucker, Paige Tucker, Shelby Swift, Liam Tucker, and Gavin Swift along with his mother in law and father in law Nancy and Gary Douglas and brothers and sisters in law Michelle Tucker, Anneliese Douglas, Scott Douglas and Brian Swift are all waiting for his next joke, as we are all certain that he can’t be done entertaining us.
Eddie was a diesel mechanic by trade but was a shop manager for Eastern Propane and Oil. Ed was also a combat veteran and served proudly in the United States Marine Corps.
Ed was loved by many. His friends were too numerous to count, but if you were with him you were the most important person. He liked to listen to great music loud, the same song, for only a few too many times in a row. There are too many “Ed-isms” to count but we’d like to share a few of our favorites:
“Don’t be a paintlicker”, “Hey, amigo”, “How ya doin’, bub”, “so, we gotta keep this PG”, “carebear”, “you need to get your hearing checked”, “Did you look with your eyes?”, “prove it”, “what’s up, dad?”, “you beat anyone up today?”, “sweet dreams”, “real men cry”, “fix yourself”. And lastly, “you’re lucky I love you”, to which we say-“Touche sir, we’ll see you soon but not yet. Give heaven some hell.”
We will be having a celebration of his wonderful life and soul on 6/29/24 at 4-7pm at Four Tree Island in Portsmouth.
